How can you fry crispy tofu?

This is the simple answer!

  • Dab the tofu with kitchen roll until it is completely dry.
  • Cut the tofu into whatever sizes you want and put the pieces next to each other on a plate. 
  • Make a mix of herbs and spices - using a recipe or your personal favourites - seasoned with salt and 2 tablespoons of cornflour, rice flour or potato flour and put it through a sieve or tea-strainer.
  • Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a frying pan.
  • While the oil is warming up, sieve the herb-flour mix over the pieces of tofu. Turn the pieces over and then sieve the remaining mixture over this side.
  • Allow the pieces of tofu to glide in the oil and fry them crispy all over.
