Crispy tofu triangles with rum-and-Licor-43 dip
Want to make an impression with your party food? Then try these crispy tofu triangles with this sensational alcohol dip. You can have them ready in 15 minutes.
Ingredients
1 block tofu (250 g) – salt – 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise – 3 Tbsp. tomato ketchup – 1 Tbsp. dark rum – 1 Tbsp. Licor 43 – 2 pinches smoked paprika powder – 8 Tbsp. cornflour – oil for frying (coconut oil)
Preparation:
1. Cut the tofu into triangles (How to do this: link). Salt both sides of the triangles and then let them drain on kitchen roll.
2. Meanwhile, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, rum, Licor 43 and a pinch of smoked paprika powder to make a dip.
3. Sieve the cornflour and a pinch of smoked paprika powder onto a soup plate and coat the tofu triangles with the mixture.
4. Fry both sides of the triangles in a layer of oil until they are crispy. Drain on kitchen roll and serve with the dip.
